you make it happen
HABIT.US IS A we.grow.eco PROJECT WHICH IS A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE TO THE EXTENT OF LAW; YOU WILL RECEIVE A LETTER FOR TAX REPORTING PURPOSES. YOUR INFORMATION WILL ONLY BE USED FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONFIRMATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
why it matters
- habit.us is a small collective built around the North American Trek, a six to eight month journey across canada, the united states, and mexico by bike, canoe, sailboat, bus, and foot.
- through video essays, art, storytelling, and documentation, we explore how the ways we live, move, consume, connect, and build community shape the world around us.
- at the center of this project is a belief in hope, collective action, and more intentional ways of living socially, culturally, environmentally, and interpersonally.
- we believe this work should remain accessible to everyone, which is why all of the stories, reflections, and creative work from the trek will be released freely and publicly rather than placed behind a paywall.
- thus far, the journey has been funded almost entirely out of pocket.
what the funding supports
each leg of the journey costs roughly $5,000, helping cover:
we are now working to raise an additional $20,000 to help sustain and share this journey.
- food
- equipment and repairs
- transportation needs
- occasional airbnbs and safe places to rest
- media production and documentation
- the ongoing work it takes to continue moving forward while creating from the road
